Preserve Our Environment
Fight for clean air: Air
pollution knows no boundaries, and Roy Cooper will continue his fight
to reduce pollution from neighboring states. As North Carolina's Clean
Smokestacks goes into effect, he will push the TVA and other states to
reduce the pollution that flows into our communities.
Crack down on polluters:
Clean rivers and streams should be preserved by cracking down on those
who pollute water through animal waste spills and poor treatment of
municipal waste. Those who break the rules should pay for the damage
they cause. Roy Cooper will enforce laws he wrote which made
intentional polluting a felony.
